'A Word from the Director'
Hello, my name is Stephanie Ericson and I am your Director at Kids Academy Regentville. I have been working in the child care industry since 2002 and have been the Director of this centre since July 2011 taking over from Nicole. I have previously worked as Director at our Glenmore Park centre and have worked in the rooms at this centre and Kids Academy Penrith.
With secure, modern purpose built facilities and a warm friendly atmosphere we are sure you will feel very much a part of our kids Academy family right from the start.
We have a strong team of early educators that have a wide range of skills and training. We have 4 early childhood teachers on premises daily delivering an educational programme that fosters children’s development. Our programmes and developmental portfolios are structured to meet the needs and interests of the children whilst also reflecting the Early Learning Years Framework and our School Wise curriculum. All of our rooms show power point presentations daily to show you our day of fun and learning.
Our computer room promotes emergent literacy skills, IT awareness and encourages the children to learn through the use of a different medium. The computer room also allows for small group learning activities.
Our school wise curriculum is part of all of our programming and has a particularly strong emphasis in our preschool room. Our preschool room runs a programme designed for children’s final year of early education and includes small group activities that focus on transition to school. We have a strong partnership with our local feeder schools and can ensure a smooth transition to ‘big school’ when the time comes.
I look forward to hearing from you soon and discussing your child’s early education and care requirements. I am available 5 days a week and can be contacted on the phone or via email regentville@kidsacademy.com.au

Kids Academy Regentville Philosophy
Early childhood education is an active process. Children learn most readily through their interaction with the physical and social environments relevant to them at the time. Education emerges from the child's desire to satisfy their natural curiosity and urge to learn. This motivation to learn affects the quality and quantity of their learning.
We aim to provide a friendly and welcoming environment for children and parents, where children are encouraged and respected. Our program seeks to assist children to understand the environment that continually influences their lives. It will foster the growth of positive attitudes and values towards learning. Each child will be treated as an individual with the program focusing on the development of the whole child through a balanced curriculum in all developmental areas including:
- The Healthy, Active & Physical Child - fine and gross motor skills
- The Thinking, Investigating, Exploring, Problem-solving Child - thinking, problem-solving and decision making skills
- The Social Child - responsibility, friendship, trust and affection for others
- The Communicating Child - communication and comprehension skills
- The Feeling Child - self-esteem, confidence and expression of feelings
- The Creative Child - expression of ideas, understanding and recognition of problems
- The Spiritual & Moral Child - respect for the natural environment and livings things, appreciation of beauty in its many manifestations and a sense of what if fair and just
The program will include a variety of activities within these areas to cater for each child's individual needs, strength, interests and experience. To accommodate indidual learning styles. a diverse range of teaching methods will be utilized. These include free discovery situations, child initiated and directed activities, as well as teacher initiated and assisted experiences. Each child will be listened to, guided, encouraged and challenged to promote learning and self worth. Each child will be treated as an equal participant of our society. Children will be encouraged to accept others individuality and respect differences in cultures, attitudes, abilities and gender.
The centre will offer a safe, caring, non-threatening learning environment that promotes the children's well-being through open communication with families and support of individual needs, cultures and an anti-bias curriculum which is challenging, stimulating and educationally balanced. Parent and family involvement and communication is welcomed and valued. We aim to provide parents with and encourage involvement in a wide range of activities and experiences within the centre and wider community. A link between families, the centre and staff and community creates a balanced and informed curriculum. Families are encouraged to share their culture and traditions within the centre community where they will be respected as an important part of children's lives and learning. Staff are valuable resources, their input into the centre is valued and respected. Staff are encouraged to pursue their professional goasl and development and their culture and life experiences are valuable resources to be utilized to enrich our service.
